We're looking for talented recent graduates (or people with 1-3 years' work experience) who love solving problems, making things run smoothly and helping people.
We’re building a bank for and with our customers, and the operations team is the main point of contact for our users - whether we’re answering their questions through in-app chat or dispatching replacement cards with no fuss.
We’ll introduce you to the programme with a 6 month stint on our customer operations team, where you’ll give our customers an exceptional level of service and you’ll learn what they need from Monzo and how we can provide the best digital bank account.
You'll use this understanding and insight into our customers as you move into a longer term operational project, for example:
- Leading a small team in customer support
- Specialising in fraud investigations and financial crime prevention
- Assisting with expansion to new countries
- Setting up the world’s smoothest card-dispatch process
...or something else entirely. We’ll work together to line up your skills and interests with the needs of our customers and the business.
You’ll spend your first six months:
- answering questions from our community of users with honesty and positivity.
- working closely with our operations engineering team to quickly diagnose and resolve problems
- proactively refining our operations processes and procedures, so we can continue to grow our user base without compromising our customers' experience.
- talking directly with our supporters and customers, developing a deep understanding of what our community really wants from a digital bank.
- conveying our customers' feedback and feature requests to the product team.
- ensuring the rest of the company remains customer-focussed and fixated on building the best bank account in the world.
We pride ourselves on supporting our customers around the clock, so you'll need to be comfortable with working occasional evening shifts and one weekend day each month.
You should apply if:
- You're great at explaining things to people, and have flawless written English.
- You love having an unresolved problem and ruling out potential causes, then working with others to solve the root cause.
- You know your way around social networks, and technology interests you.
- You're friendly, positive, and super organised.
- You're available to work occasional evening shifts and one weekend day each month.
Logistics
Salary will be around £25k plus stock options. You'll receive time off in lieu for evening or weekend shifts.
Work will generally be on-site in our office in London, UK, where – if successful – you'll join a small hand-picked team of engineers, designers, product people, and banking experts on a mission to change consumer financial services forever.
